Hi, I'm Emefa

For the woman who holds space for everyone else: I exist to guide you in tending to your life and your soul's work — while staying rooted in your own well-being, and making money doing it.

The Spaceholder's Spaceholder

Before We Begin, If You Are Wondering

How Did You Get Here, Emefa?

I'm glad you asked. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and read on — or press play, and let me tell you myself.

I Learned to Hold Everyone at the Cost of My Own Well-Being. It Nearly Cost Me My Life

Somewhere along the way I made a choice: to perform my strengths, to be held by no one, to outrun a disconnection with achievement. If you recognize yourself in that, keep reading. This page was written for you.

The Conversation Between Life and Death

Picture This

My healing began in therapy. It deepened through embodiment. And then — in the most sacred and definitive moment of my life — it was sealed in a conversation between life and death.

It's the week before Christmas, and I'm lying in a hospital bed in Texas, my body weakened from six weeks of COVID.

In what would become the most profound moment of my life, I find myself in conversation with a presence I now call “Coach.”

As I feel my life slipping away, I make a sacred promise.

If I'm given the chance to return, I'll commit to my purpose without question.

Coach looks at me and says simply:

Your purpose is to serve women.

I laugh softly and reply, “That's easy. I can do that.”

“Okay, you're on your way back,” Coach says.

And then, just before I'm pulled back to myself, one final directive:

You must reclaim your name, Emefa.

This moment — this sacred conversation between life and death — became the bridge between who I was and who I was meant to become.

Permission to Begin Again

I woke up. And after several attempts to fit back into my old life failed, I quit my job, cashed out my 401K, and flew to Ghana to ask my ancestors for permission to begin again.

In their wisdom, I found my true calling — not just coaching, but guiding women to reclaim their power, heal deeply, and lead from wholeness.

Everything you see today was built from that singular act of devotion. Not from strategy alone, but from the kind of commitment that can only come from someone who has stood at the threshold of death and chosen life.

I Took the Leap So Others Wouldn't Have to Stay Stuck

The Part I've Never Told

Nobody Signed Up

Then I moved across the country to the Midwest, starting over in a place where nobody knew me.

I invested in Rites of Passage as a group program. I did all the branding. I was excited.

And no one signed up. I was super disappointed.

But I held on to the branding, and I used it. Over the years I shifted the group program from Rites of Passage to Inhabit — and Inhabit is what seeded Inhabit Yourself, the brand coming out now.

That is what I gave up: the version of this work that was supposed to happen in a room full of women, on a timeline I had already paid for. I had to start all over in a new space. And that is what has led to exactly where we are right now.

“Emefa's presence is like a big hug from somebody that you've known…”

What Makes Me Different

It's Not Just What I Know

It's what I am, who I am, and whose I am.

A 6/2 Splenic Projector

Designed to see the genius in others before they can see it in themselves — to guide rather than generate, to operate from invitation and recognition rather than hustle and force. I cannot fake it. My knowing lives in my body, not my head: immediate, accurate, and sovereign.

Complexity in, Essence Out

I have a rare gift for making the unbearably complex feel suddenly, achingly simple. When I speak, something in the room releases. Years of tangled experience distilled into one sentence that lands in your body and doesn't leave.

The Door Where Others See a Wall

I have a rebellious relationship with the expected path — I consistently find the new way through, the angle no one else saw. And everything I commit to, I commit to completely. Half-heartedness is simply not in my vocabulary.

That's how I'm wired. Here's what it felt like from the other chair.

“Her gift lies in providing the accountability, structure, and spaciousness to explore while helping bring to light what exists within you that you've been struggling to access. The biggest shift was understanding my scarcity story wasn't actually about money — it was about time, and the belief that every moment had to be productive output. Emefa helped me discover possibilities and make connections I hadn't imagined on my own.”

I Weave the Strategic with the Spiritual, the Measurable with the Mystical

After working with hundreds of female founders and spaceholders, I know that you cannot have one without the other and call it sustainable.

The Guiding Principles

Three Principles I Don't Move Without

Every room I hold is built on these.

Magic and Method

I am a born medicine woman and healer, and I transcend the typical definition of a business coach. As a Medicine Woman and Priestess of the Ewe Tribe of Ghana, I offer spiritual guidance that brings values and actions back into alignment. As a certified business coach, I lead clients to real outcomes. I refuse to choose between the two. I am also a connector — guiding women out of muted, inner conflict and toward the people, tools and rooms that move them forward.

Space to (Re)Connect

Calling on my spiritual training, my professional training, and my own experience, I build and hold a space that is safe and inclusive. That trust is what allows a woman to shed her armor. From there we close the gap between what she believes and how she acts — with questions and exercises that call on all the senses and bring her closer to her body. Every path is personalized. Nothing I offer comes off a shelf.

Childlike Wonder

As a trauma survivor and an entrepreneur, I know intimately what it costs to lose yourself — and what it takes to come back. Your inner child is your purest self: uninhibited, curious, hopeful. Reminding yourself who you are is what unleashes the rest. Reconnect to that self and you meet your life with less fear and fewer inhibitions — and doors open that you didn't know were there.

Underneath all three is a method: the Somaxis™ Operating System. Five facets, read two ways at once — in the woman, and in the business she is building.

“May your business and its nervous system co-regulate with you.”

Through the Years

The Full Journey

Ghana

the beginning

A warm, multi-generational household. The wisdom of my grandparents, the resilience of my mother, days we walked miles to fetch water — and the legacy of the medicine women in my lineage, placed in my bones early.

Texas (Joseline)

the ladder

Climbed well, every box checked. High-rises, accolades, an impressive life — and a disconnection I was doing everything in my power to outrun. This was the signature mark for Joseline.

The Turning Point

the promise

Six weeks of COVID and a hospital bed the week before Christmas. A presence I now call “Coach.” A sacred promise, and one final directive: reclaim your name, Emefa. Joseline was the name I performed in. Emefa is the name I came back as.

Ghana Again

permission to begin again

I cashed out my 401K, bet on myself, and flew home to ask my ancestors for permission to begin again. In their wisdom, I found my true calling — not just coaching, but guiding women to reclaim their power, heal deeply, and lead from wholeness.

Texas (Emefa)

planting the seeds

With nothing but a vision, I built my business from the ground up — practicing, refining, and shaping the craft into what it is now. A business of my own, on my own terms.

Now

The Spaceholder's Spaceholder

Holding the women who hold everyone else.

Body-led, strategy-backed, spirit-guided.

The Women Who Find Me

They Share One Thing

They have held space for everyone — and somewhere along the way, they realized no one was holding it for them, and that they were expected to sacrifice something in order to have either the life they want or the business they are building.

The Visionary

The go-to person for the company, the family, the board — burning out quietly behind an impressive life.

The Oracle

Deeply gifted, spiritually rich, and tired of being told her gifts and her abundance can't coexist.

The Alchemist

The caretaker who transmutes everyone else's pain — and has quietly disappeared inside her own giving.

The Luminary

A woman of many lights, exhausted from explaining herself to a world that insists she choose one identity.

If you're not sure which one you are, your body knows.

Where This Is Going

One Hundred Women by 2030

Each one building a business that pays her like it matters.

None of them sacrificing their bodies or their desires at the altar of those businesses. All of them shamelessly claiming their wealth — because money in the hands of good-hearted women changes the world.

I have done it the other way. I am not sending anyone back.

This Is Not for Everyone

I Work with Ten Women at a Time — No More

Because depth requires space, and space requires intention.

If you are ready to stop giving from empty — ready to build something that feels as extraordinary on the inside as it looks from the outside — you are the woman this work was made for.

The door is open. I've been waiting for you.
