Speaking, Facilitation & Media
Most Rooms Are Asked to Think.I hold the room and create safety for them to arrive.
Whether it's a keynote, a workshop, a podcast, or a leadership team learning to work from a regulated nervous system — the work is the same: bringing people back into their bodies so they can hear themselves again, together.
Media bio, headshots, and past talk footage are on this page — no need to ask.
What the Room Looks Like
Six Hundred People, This Year
Ballroom, Boardroom, Studio Floor. The Container Changes. The Work Does Not.
"Emefa's work helps to nurture, heal, and ground leaders. The work is restorative and responsive, helping to guide the individual into their best self. For busy women, our wellness often comes last."
"We were pleased with the positive response from our audience. Many community members attended the series and some ended up joining our community long-term."

Some Topics I Speak on
Every talk is shaped to your room and your program. Each one includes a live somatic moment — so people leave having felt something, not only heard it.
Somaxis™ is my Operating System — five facets, read two ways at once: in you, and in your business.
01Leveraging AI in an Embodied and Ethical Way: Technology as Sacred PartnerFor: Leaders, entrepreneurs, conscious business owners, spiritual entrepreneurs
Discover how technology can become a sacred partner in your embodied leadership journey. Learn frameworks for integrating AI tools while maintaining your humanity, values, and authentic connection — creating efficient systems that amplify rather than replace your unique gifts.
Built on the S.O.M.A. Prompting Method — Specificity, Objective & Context, Meaning & Mandate, Action — my framework for making AI a thought partner rather than a shortcut. Rooms leave able to use it the same day.
FormatsKeynote · workshop · conference panel or fireside

05Return on Life (ROL): Redefining Success in Leadership & BusinessFor: Business leaders, entrepreneurs, executive teams
Move beyond traditional ROI metrics to measure what truly matters — the quality of life and wellbeing that flows from aligned leadership. Create success frameworks that honor personal sustainability and meaningful impact.
FormatsKeynote · executive team session · board or leadership offsite
06The Missing Initiation: Rites of Passage for Modern LifeFor: Leaders in transition, women's gatherings, teams inside change, retreats
In ancient cultures, life's great thresholds — coming of age, union, loss, becoming an elder — were crossed inside ceremony, guidance, and community. Nobody crossed alone. Today we face our thresholds in isolation, and we name the disorientation that follows a personal failing, when it is something else entirely: an initiation without a guide.
This talk restores the map. Drawing on the Heroine's Journey and the ancestral wisdom of the Ewe people of Ghana, the room learns the three movements of any true crossing — Separation, Liminality, and Re-Integration — and how to recognize which one they are standing in. They leave able to name the threshold they are already inside, and with a way to be held through it rather than pushed across it.
FormatsKeynote · workshop · retreat or ceremony-based session
07Breathwork for a RoomFor: Retreats, conference openings and closings, team offsites
Not a talk — an experience. Guided, consensual, conscious connected breath with curated music, held for a group of any size. Used as an opening to set a gathering's tone, or as a closing so people leave changed rather than merely informed. No experience needed and nothing to get right.
Formats30 minutes · 60 minutes · full session with integration

From the Rooms
What People Carry Out
"Her presence and energy brings calm over the room while lifting people up and encouraging them to make space for them."
"As an introvert and someone who continues to recover from PTSD it was the exact recharge I needed."
Brittany Walls · Leading From Fullness, Not Depletion
"I understood the importance of outlining values and defining them for your company but I didn't understand the depth and process to take exploring them."
"I felt aligned with her energy and really appreciated her insight and guidance. I hope to work with her more in the future."
Kyli Corder · Momentum Accelerator
"The workshop was well done. Emefa was excellent — she kept it simple and was extremely engaging, and kept the session upbeat with great examples."
"My biggest takeaway is understanding what ChatGPT is and is not, privacy and what not to enter, how to improve an answer, accuracy and checking sources."
Diane Johnson · Wounded Warrior Project
"The S.O.M.A. prompting method. Vague prompt versus clear prompt demonstration. Guided practice. I also learned how to change settings in ChatGPT."
Wendy Miklos · Wounded Warrior Project

What a Room Actually Leaves with
Collected From Participant Surveys After the Core Values Workshop. Shared Anonymously, Exactly as Written.
"My biggest takeaway was that it's okay to exist in the grey space. A lot of us talked about how uncomfortable it feels to speak up before we feel ready. There's no magic point in life where we stop feeling fear or uncertainty. What matters is learning to move through it instead of waiting for it to go away."
"Confidence really comes from alignment. When I am connected to my core values, my choices will feel more natural and true to me."
"My most significant takeaway was recognizing the limiting beliefs that subconsciously hinder my progress."
"That it is ok to take up space and feel comfortable doing so."
"Learning how to turn limiting beliefs into productive conversations that build confidence and clarity. She helped me realize that doubt can be an opportunity to grow when I choose to engage with it instead of letting it define me."
"Limiting beliefs shape your behavior whether you realize it or not, and it's up to you to notice then redirect your thinking around it. If not, you'll continue to absorb the limiting belief until it's a reality."
"Once you have awareness of the situation that is no longer serving you, you have the option to choose another action."
"The importance of aligning personal values with leadership actions so that the way we lead feels authentic and creates meaningful impact."

Emefa Boamah is a Somatic Strategist.
She was born in Ghana, into a multi-generational household and a lineage of Ewe medicine women. She spent years climbing the corporate ladder in Texas before her body ended the argument — in a hospital bed the week before Christmas, six weeks into COVID, she made a promise: if she returned, she would commit to her purpose without question. She returned. She quit, and flew home to ask her ancestors for permission to begin again. Everything since has been the keeping of that promise.
Today she works with female founders and the leaders everyone else leans on — the women holding the company, the team, the family and the vision, and held by no one. Her Somaxis™ Operating System is the architecture beneath that work: five facets, read two ways at once, because a woman and the business she is building are the same system. They regulate together, or they collapse together.
She is a Certified Transformational Embodiment Coach, breathwork practitioner and Human Design practitioner, trauma-informed throughout. She has held rooms for twenty-three organizations, among them Wounded Warrior Project, Michigan State University's Burgess Institute, Newlab Detroit, Black Tech Saturdays, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas and United Way. She serves as Co-Chair of the Forum Committee for the Women's Exchange of Washtenaw and organizes 1 Million Cups Ann Arbor.
She believes that used well, technology makes more space to be human, not less. And she works with a small number of women at a time, by design.
